1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Cyber121 platform at cyber121.com (the "Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Platform. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Cyber121 Security Community ("Cyber121", "we", "us", or "our"), an Australian-based cybersecurity community platform.

These Terms apply to all visitors, registered users, and purchasers of digital products. By creating an account, downloading a free resource, or purchasing a product, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms.

2. Description of Services

Cyber121 provides the following services:

Free Security Tools
Email phishing analyser, QR code scanner, CVE lookup, exploit checker, vulnerability tracker, and severity heatmap β€” provided free of charge for educational and professional use.
Community Blog
Cybersecurity articles, tutorials, and threat intelligence written by the Cyber121 team and community contributors.
Digital Products
Premium downloadable resources including the Phishing Investigation Toolkit (AUD $49) and the GRC Starter Kit for Small Businesses (AUD $79), sold via the Cyber121 Shop.
Free Resources
Lead magnets including the Phishing Playbook PDF and other educational resources, available in exchange for email subscription.
User Accounts
Registered accounts via Manus OAuth, providing access to analysis history, watchlists, and purchased product downloads.
Email Sequences
Automated welcome email sequences for subscribers, including educational content and product recommendations.

3. User Accounts & Registration

  • You must be at least 16 years of age to create an account or purchase products.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.
  • You must provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and keep it updated.
  • You must not create accounts using false identities, impersonate others, or use automated means to create accounts.
  • You must notify us immediately at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.
  • We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or pose a security risk to the Platform or other users.

4. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree to use the Platform only for lawful purposes. You must not:

  • Use the security tools to analyse systems, networks, or data you do not own or have explicit authorisation to test
  • Use the Platform to plan, facilitate, or execute any cyberattack, phishing campaign, or malicious activity against any person or organisation
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or extract data from the Platform using automated tools without prior written consent
  • Upload, post, or transmit malware, viruses, or any code designed to disrupt, damage, or gain unauthorised access to systems
  • Harass, threaten, or harm other users or community members
  • Post content that is defamatory, obscene, discriminatory, or violates any applicable law
  • Attempt to circumvent any security measures, access controls, or rate limits on the Platform
  • Resell, redistribute, or sublicence purchased digital products without prior written consent from Cyber121
  • Use the Platform to send unsolicited commercial communications (spam)
  • Impersonate Cyber121 staff, other users, or any third party

Violation of this Acceptable Use Policy may result in immediate account suspension or termination, removal of content, and/or referral to law enforcement authorities where applicable.

5. Free Security Tools β€” Disclaimer

Important Disclaimer β€” Please Read Carefully

The security analysis tools provided by Cyber121 are provided for educational and informational purposes only. They are not a substitute for professional cybersecurity advice, penetration testing, or enterprise security solutions.

  • Analysis results are generated by AI models and may contain errors, false positives, or false negatives. Do not rely solely on our tools to determine whether content is safe or malicious.
  • CVE data is sourced from the public National Vulnerability Database (NVD) and may not reflect the most recent vulnerability disclosures or patches.
  • Cyber121 makes no warranty that the tools will detect all phishing attempts, malicious URLs, or security vulnerabilities.
  • You are solely responsible for any decisions made based on the output of our tools.
  • The tools must only be used to analyse content you own or have explicit authorisation to analyse.

6. Digital Products & Purchases

When you purchase a digital product from the Cyber121 Shop, the following terms apply:

Pricing
All prices are displayed in Australian Dollars (AUD) inclusive of any applicable taxes. Prices are subject to change without notice. The price displayed at the time of purchase is the price you will be charged.
Payment
Payments are processed securely by Stripe. We accept major credit and debit cards. Your card details are never stored by Cyber121.
Delivery
Digital products are delivered via a secure download link sent to the email address provided at checkout. Download links are valid for 30 days and may be accessed up to 5 times. Contact [email protected] if you experience delivery issues.
Licence
Upon purchase, you are granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable, personal licence to use the digital product for your own professional or personal use. You may not resell, redistribute, sublicence, or share the product with third parties without prior written consent from Cyber121.
GRC Starter Kit
The GRC Starter Kit (AUD $79) includes a Gap Analysis Workbook, Policy Template Pack, 12-Month Implementation Roadmap, and Quick Reference Card. The workbook and templates are provided as editable files for your own organisational use. They are not legal advice and should be reviewed by a qualified professional before use in compliance programmes.
Phishing Investigation Toolkit
The Phishing Investigation Toolkit (AUD $49) includes investigation templates, checklists, and reference materials for cybersecurity professionals. It is provided for educational and professional use only and does not constitute legal or security advice.

7. Refund Policy

Our Refund Commitment

  • 14-day money-back guarantee: If you are not satisfied with a digital product, you may request a full refund within 14 days of purchase, provided you have not downloaded the product more than once.
  • Technical issues: If you are unable to access or download your purchased product due to a technical issue on our end, we will provide a full refund or re-deliver the product at your choice, regardless of the time elapsed.
  • Duplicate purchases: If you accidentally purchase the same product twice, we will refund the duplicate charge in full.
  • Non-refundable circumstances: Refunds will not be issued if the product has been fully downloaded and used, if the refund request is made after 14 days, or if the purchase was made using a promotional code that explicitly excluded refunds.

To request a refund, email [email protected] with your order number and reason for the refund. Refunds are processed within 5–10 business days. This policy does not affect your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL).

8. Intellectual Property

All content on the Cyber121 Platform β€” including but not limited to the website design, logo, text, graphics, diagrams, code, digital products, blog articles, and tool outputs β€” is the intellectual property of Cyber121 Security Community or its licensors, and is protected by Australian and international copyright, trademark, and intellectual property laws.

  • You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from any Platform content without prior written consent from Cyber121.
  • The Cyber121 name, logo, and brand assets are trademarks of Cyber121 Security Community. You may not use them without prior written consent.
  • Purchased digital products are licensed for personal and professional use only β€” not for resale, redistribution, or commercial training without a separate commercial licence agreement.
  • Blog posts and community content you create remain your intellectual property, but by posting on the Platform you grant Cyber121 a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display, distribute, and promote that content on the Platform and in marketing materials.

9. User-Generated Content

By submitting content to the Platform, you represent and warrant that you own or have the necessary rights to the content, it does not infringe any third-party intellectual property rights, and it does not violate any applicable law or these Terms.

Cyber121 reserves the right to remove, edit, or refuse any user-generated content at our sole discretion without notice. We do not endorse or take responsibility for user-generated content.

10. Subscriptions & Billing

  • Subscription fees are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis in Australian Dollars (AUD).
  • Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled before the renewal date.
  • You may cancel your subscription at any time via your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period β€” no partial refunds are provided for unused subscription time.
  • We reserve the right to change subscription pricing with 30 days' notice. Continued use after the notice period constitutes acceptance of the new pricing.
  • Credits purchased as part of a credit package are non-refundable and expire 12 months from the date of purchase.

11. Limitation of Liability

Important Legal Notice

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Cyber121 and its directors, employees, contractors, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Platform, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, business interruption, security breaches, or reliance on tool outputs.

Cyber121 is specifically not liable for any security incident occurring despite using our tools, any failure to detect phishing or malware, any compliance failure from use of GRC templates without professional review, or any interruption or termination of the Platform.

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid to Cyber121 in the 12 months preceding the claim, or AUD $100, whichever is greater. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Cyber121 and its directors, employees, contractors, and affiliates from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from: (a) your use of the Platform in violation of these Terms; (b) your violation of any applicable law or regulation; (c) your infringement of any third-party intellectual property rights; or (d) any content you submit to the Platform.

13. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. In the event of a dispute, the parties agree to first attempt informal resolution by contacting [email protected]. If unresolved within 30 days, disputes shall be submitted to binding arbitration in Sydney, NSW, in accordance with ACICA rules.

EU users may also submit complaints to their local consumer protection authority or via the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform.

14. Termination

Cyber121 reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violation of these Terms, fraudulent or illegal activity, non-payment of fees, or at our sole discretion. Upon termination, your right to access the Platform and any purchased products ceases immediately.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes by email and will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Platform after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
